Noooo to the plating. I use Mark Lee to blue guns and it works great. Re-blue that beauty.

First outing with my new 1911. Ended up getting something a bit different than what I’d planned on, but fell in love at first sight with the shinny commander.

I know the shot placement isn’t great, but I’m not a great shot to begin with, and was pleased to be moderately consistent with a new gun.
