Just wanted to post that I had just picked up my CA GT5 on friday, went to send first shots down range today and seems I have issues with headspace. RO’s brought out different types of ammo and same issue with all. A well used snap cap will fit in but when trying to eject, the slide becomes very stuck. Shame cause I was so excited.

Edit: Figured it out. You’d think they would design their lci to work with their sig loc design and mounting an optic would be no problem. Had to remove lci with calculated kinetics plate. My bad guys, it was the last thing I thought to check..

Did you lube up the gun prior to shooting? I had a ejection failure in the first 50 rounds but once I oiled up the gun it has been flawless for past 3 rounds and first competition.

does it plunk a round with the barrel out of the slide? If so is the back of it lined up with the rear of the barrel hood?

Did you clean and lube it? These things don't work out of the box... Hella annoying..

One of our wipes would do it good..

Damn that sucks the GT5 I rented out at Evan’s Gun World made me like it a lot. Then again the one they had was a Free State model and already had a 507COMP ProMax (holy 💩 that optic is huge lol) it ran various ammo like nothing. Being a rental I’m sure they make sure it runs accordingly so who knows if they had issues when they first tested it.

So I had the same problem as OP using a CK plate. I had it mounted to a Holosun. As OP explains the CK plate integrates with the Sig Lok recess. The plate, when mounted, doesnt allow the LCI to fully deploy up and rear when a round is chambered causing failure to return to battery by about 2mm.

After I had battery issues, all I wanted to do was tear into it to figure out what the deal was. Nothing obvious, plunked fine. So I busted out some snap caps. Then I started looking at my 365 (adapter plate and Holosun) and I was able to see how the LCI should act. It should have some free motion when chambered. On the GT5 it jammed when chambered. As I loosened the optic the slide ticked forward 2mm and sat where she needed to be.

The fix: I filed a tiny notch in the Sig Lok tab on the plate. Works like a charm. I didnt want to remove the LCI until a plug becomes available and the plate still takes advantage of the extra strength from integrating with the Sig Lok.

The gun itself is phenomenal. CK makes phenomenal products. This is just a unique combo on a new "CA compliant" firearm

All in all, no shade on any companies. Its fun to learn and pass on knowledge. 🍻
