P229 question

Hi all. Looking for recommendations… recently acquired P229 and love it, however, due to G10 grip it’s hard to reach trigger. Any recommendations on smaller grip.

Saw E2 online but no idea how it feels. Is there a local store I could check it out?

Unfortunately the P229 is an old design and is pretty thicc compared to modern firearms. The SRT and E2 grip does help!

I might have a e2 grip im the parts bin.
I did just get a shipping notification for the short reach triggers so Ill have more on Wednesday

Have you tried the Hogue thin G10's? They thinned out my P225 even more. SRT also helped.

Assuming it was a used 229 you picked up? The only models from recent SIG production both had E2 grips on them, but it sounds like someone installed G10s. That also means you can check out how an E2 grip feels at any of your local gun shops with a 229 in stock.

Also, be mindful that if you look up SRT when it comes to SIG triggers, there are both Short Reset Trigger and Short Reach Trigger kits, both named SRTs (great naming conventions.....). The Grayguns SRT you mentioned is the short reset trigger, not the short reach trigger others were advising.

If it fits you and you shoot it good Id just leave it alone

E2 grips. I don't like the skinny short-reach triggers because they pinch the pad of my trigger finger against the frame. But might work out for you if you need to shorten the LOP.
