Paperwork for selling on consignment?

When selling a gun through a FFL dealer on consignment, is the dealer required to give you any receipt or paperwork stating you no longer own the gun? Seems like you should get some type of paperwork that says the gun is no longer yours?

Technically when you put it on consignment it becomes the FFLs property and the paper chase reflects that. Then if in never sells and you want it back it has to be transferred back to you with a fee. PAX

Thanks. I just figured with all the CA laws, there'd be more paperwork to sign when the gun actually sold.

Thanks for the confirmation. That's the only paperwork I got as well - one paragraph on a piece of paper saying I am leaving the gun in the care of the FFL, what the commission percentage is, and that I'll have to DROS it back to myself if I want it back.
