I get the concern with tip situation but find another gun place in San Diego or even California with such a positive group of employees. And the range is top tier. I think tips are a nice gesture especially when it supports people that provide us with such a nice place.

I’ve been here a few times, great range, clean and spacious. Never had issues with the employees either. One thing I did notice, and I’m not sure if it’s different in store is their pricing for guns. I got an email that they were having a sale so I checked out their website, it seems on the website everything is really over priced. For example this sig365 x-macro. Normal retail price in most places is $850, they want $1165 here. Not sure if it’s a different price in person, but just seems really pricey.

Their website is just a stock "GearFire" website with MSRP pricing. The prices in store are generally much lower and match the ads.

I'm happy you guys like it. However, every time I go there, I get nickel'ed and dime'd to death. It is way to expensive for my taste. But I'm glad it's well supported.

I’m a member there. Shoot the 100 yard line at least once a week. Nice range. Clean and very user friendly. But yes, it’s a boutique. Overpriced ammo and guns and their transfer fees are too expensive, so,I buy elsewhere.

I always check out the used guns, new seems high from what I have seen.

I think their PPT is just the $47.19 but the stuff with ffl I think id look elsewhere too.

PWG is a world class facility. There are not many indoor ranges that allow you to shoot pretty much anything you want in any of their lanes. However, you must pay to play. I spent 65 bucks for 3 people on one 25 yard lane for an hour with 5 targets, including a 5 dollar tip. It wasn't terribly expensive at 20 dollars a head / hour and my party had a great time. One major gripe I had was they want you to case and un-case all your firearms in the tiny booth. If you pull your guns out from the back after you set them down, they will give you a warning so use caution. This can be kind of annoying if you're shooting long guns, but rules are rules. Becoming a member would definitely save you some money if you plan on coming here regularly. And after you're finished, hop on the 15 north and get off Rancho Bernardo. Make a left and head into Phil's bbq. You'll thank me later! 😎👍

An attorney we work with lives in Poway so good to know for next time I’m in town

I’m an old school supporter of PWG. I was buying guns from them way back when they were a tiny hole in the wall in Poway.

The owner would tell me his dream of opening the best indoor range in the nation.

He had the right support in Poway since he was ex LEO and Poway is very 2a friendly.

When they first opened the big range my wife and I did a quick photo shoot there.
