If you live in US House District 10 (much of Contra Costa County), Mark DeSaulnier has been your representative since 2015. He's received an F grade from the NRA for years due to his anti-gun positions.
A few weeks ago, I asked CAGuns for help in getting my wife, Angela Griffiths, on the ballot to challenge DeSaulnier. The good news is she made it, and the better news is that she has been endorsed by the Contra Costa County Republic Party as their preferred candidate. CRPA has given her an A grade, but they've not yet endorsed a candidate for the district.
This is Angela's initial foray into politics, and we ain't rich, so it is a grassroots campaign for the time being. It's going to be an uphill battle since the incumbent is a professional politician with an established campaign fund.
She needs to get name recognition in the region, and obviously raise money. She needs people to help her find or create opportunities to meet constituents and people who want to see a change in how the area is treated by its representatives. People who are willing to host coffee get-togethers with their neighbors, who can put her together with people willing to financially invest in a chance at change, people who refuse to consider California a cause lost to runaway liberalism.
If you can help, please check out her campaign site and reach out with questions or suggestions. You won't see any real firearms aspects of her positions on the website, but I can tell you is that she is an enthusiastic recreational and competitive shooter, and literally punched me in the arm when I didn't submit our CCW applications the day after the Bruen decision. I find her only significant flaw to be is that she is the Glock shooter in the family.
Thanks all!
