Chime in with how you see this working....

Let me know if you think this is mostly fair...

Community proposal
Let members publicly report failed arrangements with someone they have dealt with in DMs.

Proposed experience

Place two actions in the side menu bar on desktop. Mobile will be at the bottom

Report transaction issue (Proposed) Request feedback (Pending)

Request feedback:
Choose “I was the buyer,” “I was the seller,” or “We traded.” A CAguns listing link is required. Insert a feedback link into the reply draft; the recipient opens feedback for the requesting member with the listing and role carried through.

Report transaction issue: Available only from a DM with the reported member. Require the listing link, one issue type, and a short explanation:
  • No-show: An agreed meeting was missed without cancellation.
  • Stopped responding / Ghosting: Communication stopped after an arrangement was agreed.
  • Backed out: Someone canceled after confirming the deal.
An unanswered initial inquiry alone would not qualify. Reports describe member experiences; they are not staff findings.

Public badges

Reuse the existing Badges System appearance in a dedicated “Transaction reliability” area on profiles and classifieds seller cards. Example: Ghosting reports · 2.
  • Proposed default: eligible member reports publish without prior moderator approval.
  • The reported member receives a notification and can respond or dispute the report.
  • DM contents and conversation links stay private; the public explanation must not expose private contact details.
  • Members cannot hide badges.
  • Moderators can remove abusive or duplicate reports. Withdrawals/removals update counts.
  • Abuse or revenge will result in ban
  • No public reactions or voting to increase report counts.
  • Possible mulligan reset. 2 resets free... 1st one is a warning. 2nd one is your own fault 3rd. You should know by now it'll stick with your profile.

Eligibility and duplicate prevention

Proposed launch rule: one-to-one DMs where both members have replied. Check participation on the server, automatically identify the other member, and validate the listing. One report per reporting member, even across multiple DMs. A conversation establishes eligibility, not proof of the allegation.

Community decisions needed

  1. Should public reliability reports and badges be introduced?
  2. Are these three categories clear, and what counts as a confirmed arrangement? How long without a response qualifies as ghosting?
  3. Should publication be immediate, allow a response window first, or require review? Immediate publication is the current proposal.
  4. Should one report display a badge, or should a threshold apply? Should old reports expire from badge counts?
  5. Are two-way DMs sufficient, or should account age/activity requirements apply?
  6. How should disputed or resolved reports affect counts?

I think this could be great for flakes. Ghosting and backing out might get real touchy real fast. Especially ghosting, yeah it’s annoying but I don’t think it’s scarlet letter worthy. Some people just stop talking and it is what it is.

the way i’m reading it currently 2 and 3 are the same thing, just backing out. Ghosting after a deal is made is just backing out of the deal.

Also this sounds like a lot of work for the mods. but good on them.

The onus is actually on the people involved in the DM's. It'll force people to take better care and treat people like people here.

It is likely going to be a PITA, but you get resets for that for free by default. It should make less work for us because you self report. I could also make it a ratio if you get 5 ghosts then you get the badge, you can remove it by going back to the person and asking nicely to remove it. It won't be anonymous.

1. yes
2. ghosting / flaking is the same thing the way it’s described to me.
3. no it needs to be verified
4. If it’s human reviewed and they no call / no showed sure right to a badge
5. I think we need some kind of min buy in before classified access to buy or sell is allowed. I know not everyone agrees. I look at this as a forum with a section for members, not a classified with comments.
6. can you clarify what you want?

make a popup for that. one of the guys dm’ing me about my listing tried to get me to just text from the first message which nullifies all of this.

this is up for discussion. We'll undoubtably get "i didn't say this or that". I think we'll have to agree that context MUST be in the DM to count. If you agree in DM, then its the tell tale sign. If you are off DM, that's your own thing.

Keep in mind, this is for discussion first. The new Feedback Request button is the location it'll be at.

Completely agree, if it’s off sight it’s on you. Text messages are very easy to fake.
