I was installing a Geissele ssa-e trigger in my saint. Everything went smooth until putting the last pin in the hammer which I couldn't get to line up if my life depended on it. After several tries, that hammer pin went flying 💸 well into the abyss of many screws and bolts that have succumbed to the crack in my garage wall.

Will the original saint hammer pin work fine in the new geissele hammer??

From doing a clutch on my racebike I learned put that stuff into a big cardboard box while you work on it

How did the pin go flying? its not under a tension after coming out either side. Thats like saying you yeeted a glock locking block pin.

The only nice thing about loosing the pesky pins and springs is that in a few months you may need another and there’s a chance that if you crawl around a bit you just might find one. It’s happened to me more than a few times

The only people who haven't sent springs, pins, detent balls, screws, and other parts across the room are those who haven't worked on much of anything. I'm sure the folks at Geissele can hook you up with a replacement.

I've never had to use a punch to get my trigger pins in. It was lining it up, and fidgiting with it, and angrily becoming Happy Gilmore "it's time to go in the hole, pin. Son of a motherless 🐐 pin, Why don't you just go in. That's your hole, are you too good for your hole, answer me. F-!" After few more curses it slides in like it was my fault the whole time. F-ing pin.
