So these are starting to pop up in CA. I already have a 442. Wondering if these are worth "upgrading" to. As of now, only reason I see is going from 5 to 6 rounds. But I can't even find .32 H&R magnum. Sights look good, but I'm not going to be shooting these long distance. Anyone have one of these J frames already?

The 432UC is now available to buy on the Sportsman's Warehouse website (link HERE) and is currently listed for $711.99. I just ordered one myself after seeing multiple good reviews about it on YouTube, and that it's potentially a better CCW option than my current 642 for me personally.

As for the ammo options, it's in stock and available on Sportsman's as well, but the total number of options is definitely limited. You have some 32 S&W Long options in Aguila and MagTech, and some 32 H&R Magnum options in Federal Champion as well as Hornady Critical Defense. The Magnums are pretty expensive.

Good looking snub. I had this color scheme but the G10 was slipping after every shot in 38spl. Had no texture. 6 shot snub would be sweet.

Would love a 6 shot snub but that ammo cost is going to kill me

Yep. Just comparing Federal to Federal on the Sportsman's Warehouse website, a box of Federal Champion .32 H&R Magnum is selling for $1.50/round, while a box of Federal American Eagle .44 Magnum is $1.44/round.

So when you average out the price cost of shooting .32 S&W Long+.32 H&R Magnum, you are looking at paying anywhere between the average cost of shooting .357 Magnum-.44 Magnum.

Definitely not a cheap gun to shoot or train with. I don't plan on shooting this thing a whole lot when I do pick it up. With that being said, I personally have experience with Smith J-frames owning a 642. The 432 is going to operate nearly identically to my 642, except I will have 1 extra shot in the cylinder and the recoil is going to be less than .38 Special. I might put 6 or 7 cylinders through it each time I take it to the range.

I have a 442 pro moon clip cut, but man I want a 442UC. You would think California would let in revolvers all exempt from roster but we all know the roster isn’t about safety, just control. Sigh

I tried a month or two ago to have a gun store order the Lipseys 442UC but was told that model is not on roster so it was a No Go.

I said the same, but 32HR ammo is nuts. I considered it in 38spl but I already have a 442

I want one. Just can't decide with the calibers. I already have a plain 442. So I may get the 432, but that ammo cost ☠️
