San Benito CCW renew time?

[BarneyLongden]

I did my class and paper work almost 2 months ago and am still waiting on permit renewal. Anyone else in San Benito have the same experience?

Livescan too?

I renewed a couple months ago, easy peasy and quick. The guy running the CCW unit (Bill) retired and moved out of state- I think I was his last CCW renewal. That left Steven holding down the show on his own, capable hands for sure. The Sheriff reassigned the leadership role to a patrol deputy (Peter), who is doing patrol and CCW as of Sep 1st-ish (likely I'm off a few days). I don't know if they are still doing Tue/Wed as CCW days or what.

I'd ask whoever did your range qualifying- they talk to agencies far more than we would, they likely have the latest scoop. Have you called the CCW desk and asked?

you can always call the dept and leave a message if no one is available. Remember the day you pick up is the start of your new validity time so they may be waiting until you’re closer to your expiration date.
