CCW SAN BERNARDINO CCW Guidance

Recently applied for my CCW through the permitium website for San Bernardino County and i'm looking for guidance on what to do next.

Can anybody who has gone through San Bernardino help me out with a step by step guide as to what's next and the estimated time frame

Check the website and make sure you summitted all proper documents. Make sure all your personal references are good to go and are aware that the sheriff department will call. There is no definite timeline for the call but eventually they will. When you go to your initial interview, bring a hard copy of the uploaded documents including address verification documents (property deed, utility bills, etc), legal residency verification documents (passport, green card, naturalization, etc), driver license (matching address to your utility bills/property deed). USPS postal money order is required for the first payment. Once background check is done, they will let you know to schedule your training. If you do your training with the sheriff department, you're required to attend both days consecutively. The range qualification part is always on the Saturday after your first training class. The final payment is made after they notified you everything is approved (after range qualification).

The CCW unit is very prompt and helpful. You can always call and email them if you have any questions including status updates.

Mid Feb interview, still waiting. Officer said now its just waiting for fingerprint clearance. Said 1 to 8 months possible when I was there...
