Hello again!

Sorry for the probably simple questions, I’m still trying to get a hold of all the CA rules.

Am I allowed to sell an off roster gun to someone thru a PtP transfer at an FFL that wasn’t registered to me previously?

For example, I have a handgun that I owned before I moved in state and want to sell it in CA. I haven’t done the NRR for that gun get because I was planning on selling it.

Thanks for any help or advice!

As long as you didn’t bring it into the state with the explicit intent to sell it, you’re fine. In fact, PC 27560 specifically calls out selling the firearm as a PPT as one of the valid options in lieu of registering it through CFARS
