The integration with the phone app is nice and the sensitivity picks up on dry fire pretty well. It’s the only shot timer I’ve owned, so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I have no complaints.

I’ve been using the SG Timer GO for dry practice for a while and really like it, but I’ve been thinking about switching to the SG Timer 2.
It’s a bit strange that there’s still no PractiScore integration. Not sure what the issue is, but they just announced that their public APIs are now available, so hopefully integration is coming soon

Used the SG Timer 2 with the drills app yesterday. Was impressed with the timer. Worked well. Drills were fun to run. Did a practice match with the app and a buddy, was easy to score with the timer.

Video recording is a nice feature as well for draw and fire drills, as well as Bill drills.

What makes you want to upgrade to the SG Timer 2? I'm looking at switching from my PACT III to the SG Timer Go or SG Timer 2 and can't decide between the two.

Also, according to this, intigration is coming.

Depends on how serious you are about making it to the range. The screen is a big plus for the 2 but the Go is plenty for majority of folks who just need a timer.

I've never really been all that intentional about training with a timer. I just used it as an aside for practice and it just sort of sat in my bag most of the time. I've recently taken a more serious approach toward training and need something for dry firing and range use. I like the Pact III, but it doesn't do what I want for dry firing.

While I think the SG Timer Go would most likely suit my needs, I don't want to buy it and with I went with the Timer 2 in a year.

I'm curious why @John0_0 wants to make the jump to the Timer 2.

I can only guess.....

But using the 2 can be fully independent. You don't need your phone. I can input all the data of hits, change weapon settings and modify drills all on the device. Really only require the phone for the video portion or starting a match setup with friends.

Seems to me reading the Go info, much of this is done on the phone... but feature wise, they are very similar.
