Sig is the most innovative firearms manufacturer

The only people I think would be in disagreement to this are Sig haters and/or P320 haters. Mind you, the P320 was the first iteration of the modular FCU design - Sig is now releasing the 3rd generation. But they're innovating with their pistols and attachments (however crazy a "smart" optic is).

In addition to being the most innovative they're building in a way that allows many levels of customization; the P211 for example allows swapping of uppers. So many options to get things the you want or that best works for you.

Edit: the P250 was Sig’s first FCU design while the P320 was their first striker-fired FCU. Both platforms share a lot of compatibility.

Yeah they are pushing boundaries in multiple areas and that's why haters seethe and get jealous due to emotional brand loyalty

Kel TEC, hold my beer 😁
I agree Kel-Tec has them whooped on Innovation.

We're not talking about practicality or reliability of anything, just innovation? 😁

P11 has an FCU and that was made in what, 1995? It was also a Micro Compact 12+1, truly the first of its kind. Did it suck? Mostly, but it was doing all of these things long before anyone else thought about it or even recreated it.

Have always been a fan of sig. I feel like they have the perfect model for any purpose or style of shooter. In terms of controversy that is to be expected with any big brand.

I don't think sig is that great of a company. All of the products are usually mid tier or less in quality with top of the line prices. The customer service is not great. What they pump out just isn't that good in my opinion.

The 2011 may actually be one of the first modular systems, the patent was filed in the early 90s. While it's not a full "fcu", the grip/magwell/trigger guard being modular was a big step and allows you to change magazines, cartridges and materials of a significant portion of the pistol. A hammer fired FCU would definitely be interesting even though I think it's somewhat obsolete with the right striker fired design. https://patents.google.com/patent/US5293708A/en?q=(vergill)&inventor=tripp&oq=vergill+tripp

I actually think they balance their pricing and quality rather well especially within the bell curve of the consumer market. For their bottom/base tier products they're increasingly building in more modularity so folks can upgrade over time. I do think their rifles are rather overpriced but getting better.

I dual wield w/P320's (like Wick but cooler). I don't care if both ND'd at the same time, I will still be a sig fanboy.
