Totally agree. I think S&W M&P 2.0 is a superior handgun FOR ME. Everyone should find out what they shoot the best and go for that make.
I had 3 Glocks but once I shot the 2.0, I knew right then that my wallet was in trouble. 😀
I now own zero Glocks and 7 M&P 2.0s in various flavors.

lol I know, I was just messing around too.

On the thread topic, I think the M&P2.0, PDP, and Echelon are all better affordable polymer guns than Glocks in terms of ergonomics, factory trigger, and just about everything else you could measure, but I’ll never get rid of my G19 and I keep grabbing it to practice dry fire and take to the range. In a true end of the world scenario you’d be stupid to pick anything else IMO due to the ubiquitous parts and ease of maintenance/repair.

I also am in the minority in thinking Glocks are prettier than any other polymer framed guns
 
In the apocalypse, I would pick a Glock as Mags are abundant pick ups from bodies (Civilians and LEOS) as it is one of the most prolific 9mm sidearms in US.

If I lived near a large military base, maybe go Sig P320 for same reason.

I like both pistols fairly evenly.

The Sig P226 is an outstanding sidearm, but parts/mags would be no where near as abundant or easy to come by so it gets the axe.

Ditto.. Literally my thoughts to a T... I own a G19 and a P226. I shoot my P226 better (due to more pew pew time and SA trigger) but my accuracy with the G19 isn’t far off. Would grab my G19 due to parts availability in an apocalypse situation.

IMO, I prefer glock over Sig. Sig has too many safety issues with their weapons especially the p320/m17. Guns a failure. P226 and the p365 are their only good handguns.

Glock 45, definitely. Or any 9mm Glock, compact size and up.

I personally just don’t understand the love for Sig striker fired triggers. I don’t like the hollowed out shape of the triggers, and I don’t like how they feel to me, which is a bit spongy. My experience seems different from all Sig lovers. I have the X5 Legion and p365 XL, as well as the xmacro comp. I prefer shooting the G45. But the p365 series is easy to carry and better than a G43/48 in my hands.

Now, Walther PDP and HK Vp9A1 triggers…wow! I’m just talking about OEM triggers. Though the VP9A1 is my favorite pistol now. Even more than the G45. Just not in some SHTF situation over a Glock.
