Very nice.

The other thing is that no one seems to have the Echelon mags in stock, so getting it from SA and on sale with free shipping is really nice. And they didn't have to fuss with the ID verification thingy.

Why You Were Able to Buy in February
In early 2026, Springfield Armory experienced an internal system glitch that accidentally allowed a wave of California orders—including Echelon magazines and grip modules—to bypass these verification steps and ship directly to customers.
Once Springfield realized their automated systems were not fully compliant with the data collection and signature requirements mandated by AB 1263, they locked down their policy. Like many large manufacturers (including Sig Sauer and Geissele), Springfield decided to halt direct-to-consumer shipping of restricted firearm parts to California because their web infrastructure is not built to safely manage, verify, and store customer ID databases.

Now that I think back on it, I was kind of surprised the order went through, just like my Walther free optics plate. Guess I'm just lucky like that! 😇

Regarding the Walther plates...I'm trying to figure out how to get the plate for the PDP that I put in jail last week. Emailed Walther and they said to have the LGS email them. The LGS said they've been trying to get plates from Walther but Walther has been vague about getting plates to them.

These companies need to just contract with a real outlet that can actually figure out how to run.a business, it's completely ridiculous how they've all dropped the ball after putting so much effect ry into getting things on the roster

Back then I remember reading that Sportsman's Warehouse is a Walther dealer and they have or can get the free plates. Give them a call to ask about it.
