Stack'em vs Spread'em 🫪

I would hear this argument time to time but when you hear guys who been in the mud for a while, especially ones who think differently than others in the same specialty, sometimes there wisdom is too good to not try to understand. What is everyone’s philosophy on this subject? This is a former CAG guy(Tyler Grey) who also plays a SEAL(lol) in the show Seal Team and Appeared on Shawn Ryan Podcast.

Pretty sure Greg Block (Shooting instructor) was saying this over a decade ago.... putting 5 rounds in one organ is a easy fix for a hospital....
but if you "spread the love" most hospitals won't even work on you if 3 organs are hit since you have the tinyest chance at survival after surgery.
Think they call it DRT (dead right there). They will make the guy comfortable but he's not leaving the hospital breathing.

I’m a big proponent of “spread rounds.” I don’t do it for tactical advantage. I do it because of my sloppy style, lack of trigger control, and overall low level of skill.

Really, I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’ll withhold my actual opinion.

As long as the marines continue to get investigated for war crimes due to unusually high headshot ratios.. I don’t think it matters all too much where the rest of the rounds go.

The odds that anyone on this forum has to think about where they're placing multiple shots is near zero. That any of us that are not in the military could have the clarity of thought in a tactical situation to place multiple shots in different places on purpose is even more remote. In a defensive situation I don't think anyone is thinking "Hmmm I should make sure my rounds are placed in such a way that surgeons can't repair this person."

If you’re mostly hitting Alphas and Charlies with my degree of accuracy this would probably happen without trying. So I’m basically special ops when you think about it.
