Suggestions for my next firearm?

I currently own a G19, G17, S&W 686, Maverick 88. picking up a kimber 1911 .45, mini-14, ruger 10/22, and aero ar15 next week once the 10 day periods are up. really want a G21 and s Juggernaut AR9. anything you guys recommend?

Maybe upgrade your existing guns. I personally want to get an upgraded mini 14s with the folding stock and pic rail

I wouldn't recommend a Glock 21 unless you have big hands and a good strong grip, me personally I'd rather have the Glock 21SF - but to each their own. I once had a G21, liked it, but always preferred shooting my Kimber over it because of ergonomics, recoil, muzzle rise, and trigger.

Since you're getting a 10/22, I'd recommend you get the Ruger Mark IV target 22LR pistol. It's super easy to take a part and clean vs the Ruger Mark III series. One feature I really like about the Mark IV is that the magazine release really "spits" the mags out vs the Mark III just releases the mag out about an inch and you have to pull the magazine out by hand.

You need a bolt action rifle - period. (preferably in a caliber you already have like .223, unless you're willing to stock up on ammo and/or something else like .308, which will open you up to semi-auto rifles chambered in .308)

SKS is cool, except they are known for 'slam fire'. Yes, there are fixes but IMHO you're late to the 7.62X39 game and I bet you'll have more fun shooting your AR.

If you like the SKS and wood, or something old - I suggest an M1A.

And of course - I recommend you get an AR15 with an A1 upper receiver, CAR15 handguards, A2 birdcage flash hider, A1 or A2 grip, and a CAR15 stock. Because everyone will look at you like a G and you'll feel cool because that's what Val Kilmer and Robert DeNiro used in HEAT during the most glorious shoot out in movie history.

Pick up a nice lever rifle. Marlin and Henry are good choices. The 357 round packs a punch yet is relatively inexpensive.

Add a 357 wheel gun. Some also fire 38 special as do the rifles.

You have a wide variety of guns. It seems like you're accumulating a collection of whatever catches your eye.

Do you use any of them for personal defense?

If you carry concealed, your next purchase should be a duplicate of the gun on the permit. The purpose of this new gun will be as a training tool. Keep the round count on the carry gun low and run it up on the new one. If you have more than one gun on the permit, then duplicate all of them.

As for other guns, perhaps think about caliber and which one would fill a niche. For example, you seem to have 5.56x45mm/223 Remington covered. Perhaps consider something in a heavier caliber for longer ranged shooting. You could also go the opposite way and acquire a lever action rifle in 357 Magnum to go with your S&W 686.

Of course, I always recommend 44 Magnum as a fun and useful cartridge for any collection. Like 357 Magnum, you can use its lighter predecessor--44 Special. This feels more like 45 ACP. Go with a short barrel for handy use from a holster and a 6" or 8" barrel for high performance fun.

There are many options for long range rifle shooting. You don't really need an expensive setup to get to 1,000 yards. I used a Savage 10FP in 308 with a $400 3-9x scope. The scope just needs some hash marks in it that you can match with a distance for the load.

The Glock 21 is a great option. You'll really like it...or...hate it.

Milsurp and C&R have shot to the moon over the last 10 years, and there's not indication of it slowing down. The thing about milsurp is that they are not making any more of them. Anything that’s not “sporterized” is going to outpace the S&P over the next 10 years.

I'm not saying this because I like it, but the governor can't change the law and the legislature is 75% Democrat, you can expect Jerry Miculek to Governor and the roster would remain until the legislature wants to repeal it.

I reccomend trainging with them and get ammo. Get those glocks to 2000 rounds through each. Put a poly DAT TRIGGER SHOE in em don’t mess with trigger bar.

I want to also add that with the SKS rifles, the reason for slam fire is because most came into the country packed with cosmolene. The firing pin and can get struck forward position when going home if the channel was never cleaned out properly. The free floating firing pin isn't inherently dangerous, as can be seen in a variety of platforms from garand to AR-15 . You should make sure that your firing pin is able to move freely back and forth, otherwise pull it out and clean the channel. I've had one double a few times out of a lot of rounds but it's also before I knew better.

15+ years ago I bought a lever action rifle to round out my collection. I fell in love to the point that might be the last rifle I would sell. I did not expect this. I went with 30-30. I think a lever action in 38 special/357 magnum would be very fun for the range.
