The FBI Just Settled the 9mm vs .40 vs .45 Handgun Debate (YT video)

Except that most compact handguns in 9mm have higher capacity up to 11rds (1 in the chamber). Whereas handguns of similar size chambered in larger rounds like 10mm, 45, 357 are typically limited to 6-8rds. Even still if 9mm is perfectly adequate, its adequate, period. I think there is a misperception that 9mm isnt powerful.
I agree. While its no longer true, there's generational pass-down and ultimately change that's made that the case. We win/benefit- choice is terrific.

Glocks & Extended mags(for 1911's) fixed that. As someone once said "Luckily Baskin Robin has 31 flavors and there's a caliber for everyone."
True, but sizewise comparing a fullsize handgun with 10rd extended magazine to a compact 9mm with flush 10rd magazine is apples to oranges. And it distracts from the fact that 9mm is perfectly adequate. Im caliber agnostic to a degree. All Im pointing out is some of the views expressed regarding 9mm simply arent valid.
