The no no list because they're too dangerous

As an apparent licensed ffl, you mean to tell me you honestly think you could take a brand new Glock that you own as the FFL and sell it to somebody in the general public in a retail transaction right now?
Yes the Law Specifically exempts FFLs that had took possession of those firearms prior to 2026 to continue to sell them til the end of the year and beyond if the firearms are renewed on the Roster.

I honestly did not know about this. Mostly because when this whole thing came into play anybody with an FFL scooped up all the inventory from Glock and it seems it was all already sold for the public. I'm just curious though. Why would you have a glock firearm that you took possession of prior to 2026 and not have sold it yet.

Not all dealers across this state have people seeking out Glocks or sell/advertise online.

My goal was to stash my 2025 inventory and sell 2026 inventory first since that had a final sell date but 2025 inventory I could keep selling way past July but everything sold anyway.

The DOJ I’m sure wrote the law that way so dealers wouldn’t sue on unsold inventory.

Its a fairly common misconception that the Glock ban is connected to the roster. Its not. Its independent of the roster. Thats how wicked CA gun laws are. Dems are stacking laws on top of each other now. Its about to happen again with microstamping coming back in 2028 to ban all guns without it, independent of the roster requirements.

From Google Gemini:
Under Senate Bill (SB) 452, the California legislature deliberately decoupled microstamping from the Unsafe Handgun Act (UHA) Roster, turning it into a standalone restriction. [1]
How the New Structure Works
  • The Separation: Previously, microstamping was a requirement to get new handguns added to the Roster. SB 452 officially removed microstamping from the Roster mechanics entirely. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • The Blanket Restriction: Instead of affecting what can be added to the Roster, SB 452 applies directly to firearms dealers. Beginning January 1, 2028, it will be illegal for a licensed dealer to sell, transfer, or deliver any semiautomatic pistol unless it is verified as microstamping-enabled. [1, 2]
The Functional Impact
Because it is a standalone law rather than a Roster requirement, it creates a much broader restriction: [1, 2, 3]
  • No Grandfather Clause for Sales: Even if a handgun is already approved and actively sits on the California Handgun Roster, a dealer cannot legally sell it after the 2028 deadline unless it is retrofitted or manufactured with microstamping components. [1]
  • Exemptions Remain: Because the restriction specifically targets sales and transfers conducted by licensed dealers, Private Party Transfers (PPT) between California residents and Curio & Relic (C&R) firearms will remain exempt from the microstamping mandate. [1, 2]

Wild, man. If the DOJ flips back to Democrat control they’ll drop the lawsuit too

He started the post with “Happy July 1st, the day where more stupid ass laws go into effect in california. ”

at best it’s a click bait line and most the people reading are not going to understand that nothing from that list changed today.

It’s a dumb and pointless post.

Pretty sure that under AB 1127, dealers can sell existing inventory acquired before January 1, 2026, but all dealer sales of affected models end July 1, 2026. That makes the reference to July 1st a little more understandable.

What Glocks do you have in inventory that are available for sale till the end of the year?

Let's be honest, I could put my car key in between my fingers and jammed into somebody's jugular vein in a nanosecond and watch them bleed out on the ground. Oops, if they're monitoring this site they will soon be a list of cars that will no longer be for sale due to the key being longer than a safe length

Then car companies get sued. Then to sell cars in California, cars and keys have to meet California compliant “safety” requirements. Buyers will have to obtain a special permit, undergo a background check, and waiting period.

I'm sold out but like I said had I bought 50,000 glock 19's I can still legally sell them past 7/1/26

I stayed up on it but many stores have Paid in Full guns...layaways... expired DROS's.... DOJ Denied sales that they may of had in 2025 and can still sell.

OK so you're not really talking about a clean untouched inventory that can be sold through the July 1st deadline into the end of the year.

Still not clear on why you think its clickbait given July 1st is a significant 'put your pencils down' moment. You have no inventory, and even if you did, it would have to be tied to some weird back end glitch to make it sellable.

Clickbait cause wrong information. Its ok to tell people the chances are rare of finding one before the end of the year but posting a link saying they were banned on that day is 100% incorrect.

Just like dealers months ago were telling customer they would not transfer Glocks unless they were in there books prior to 2026.... again its wrong information.

I like having an avenue to help people with the knowledge I have but there was a huge difference between the users of Calguns.net, caguns.net, and CAguns reddit.

Calguns.net IMHO had the most well versed gun owners in CA that seemed to know the laws front and back and when someone stated something wrong there were multiple people who would correct them.

CAguns reddit is generally garbage and filled with people who just promote anything illegal they want and if someone cites the PC they are breaking it gets downvoted and hidden.

Caguns.net is somewhere in the middle right now with people who just say nonsense and when people tell them they are incorrect they don't stop arguing. (not referring to this post specifically). I'm not sure where this site really wants to go. Lot of bad info is just left for people to search and get wrong answers. Lot of name calling without any actions.

I agree with the bad information, such as the P211 specifically being deemed an AW (not true at this point), or the Ramjet 'about to be' deemed illegal. There is a lot of back and forth here - so much so that if I am asking anything like Claude to do research I need to state rules asking it to verify through other sources (it often takes the chatter here as fact).

I think the internet is like most sources of information; this site isn't really different. First, an amazing source to gather information from, and second, if that information is life/death, legal, etc, and essential you get it right, best to be using more than the forum to validate your findings; even experts get it wrong. There are a few people here that stand out as highly credible, like Dvrjon on the Duncan thread; others that are highly entertaining. Overall, this is one of the first places I look to learn and when I see friction in subject areas, Im usually learning or laughing - both are worth my time!
