Thoughts on Chinese optics

I can’t berate anyone if a Chy-nah made optic or red dot makes financial sense to them, their money. I let a good friend try out my RMR equipped G19 when he was looking for an RDS for his Sig M18. In the end, he preferred the circle/dot of the Holosun. The price point compared to the RMR I’m sure helped a lot. All optics or red dots I own are “made in the USA” (I forget what % of parts need to be made in the US to earn that title), Germany or Austria. But some Chinese products, tech-related specifically as someone already pointed out, are difficult to avoid. I have been tempted by Chinese made thermals, but so far have been able to stave off the urge to go through with the purchase, mostly based on the lack of a use case.
