Appreciate all of you have helped give advice and point me in the right direction.
Went to the Competition Shooting Safety Class at Yolo today with Ryan, Francisco, Bill & Ron (great bunch of guys).
Ran 3 different stages, brought out the Sand Viper, great times, can't wait to get to my first match!
Help me out with Hit Factor, I'll use the simplest stage. 4 targets at 5-7 yards, draw, 2 on each target, mandatory reload, then transition & 2 more on each target with weak hand unsupported (Thank sweet baby Jesus I saw this was a thing and have practiced via dry fire).
I ran a 14.02 second run and hit all alphas, which would be 80 points. 80/14.02 = 5.71 HF?
One of the instructors ran it in 12.82, but had a good mix of Alpha/Charlie and one Delta, so I poked a little fun.
All in all a great time, shot about 100 rounds and had more fun than shooting 800 rounds at the static range by far.
Now I'm going to try to get my local indoor range in on it (hopefully) fingers crossed.
If anyone is close to Sacramento that wants to help me talk The Gun Range into getting some of these events, please do! I've already spoke with Sam about it and he seemed open to the idea. Just would need to make it make sense for everyone involved obviously.
