Top 3 Reasons Why Glock 43 Over Sig P365

After recently picking up a P365 and having owned a 43 essentially soon after they came out, just wanted to share my thoughts on my Top 3 Reasons I'd still chose the 43 over a P365.

For those who’d rather read than watch, here’s the TLDR:

1. Proven Glock Reliability
Glock has an unmatched reputation for reliability built over decades. The 43 carries that same design philosophy. Simple, rugged, dependable. While the P365 has proven solid, Glock’s track record, is longer and more battle-tested.

2. Better Accuracy (Subjective)
In personal testing, the Glock 43 performs more accurately than the P365, especially beyond 15 yards. With the G43, consistent accuracy was achievable out to 25 yards. This may vary per shooter, but it's worth noting (probably me).

3. Simplicity & Ease of Maintenance
The Glock 43 is easier to work on thanks to Glock’s universal parts design. If you’ve worked on one Glock, you’ve basically worked on them all. The P365 is more complex internally, making the G43 a better pick for those who like to tinker, upgrade, or troubleshoot on their own.

Getting a 43X in a couple of weeks for the same 3 reasons plus commonality with the other CCW pistols on my CCW. I see no need to add one pistol that has a manual safety selector when the others I have on permit do not. Never did get on the polymer Sig bandwagon and likely never will with the bad P320 publicity.

Capacity & Compatibility – The P365 comes standard with 10-round flush-fit mags and works with all extended OEM options (12, 15, even 17 rounds). The G43 has a 6-round standard mag and limited OEM support. Aftermarket mags exist, but it’s a patchwork solution.

Optics-Ready – Many P365 variants come optics-ready right out of the box. The Glock 43? You’ll need to buy an aftermarket slide (or a 43X MOS upper), which adds time, cost, and complexity.

Modularity – The P365’s fire control unit (FCU) makes it fully modular. You can drop it into a P365X, XL, Macro, or custom grip frame, completely transforming the gun. The G43 is stuck with a single frame and slide setup.

The 365 is way ahead on features, but lacks a trigger safety which is not a great idea for a concealed carry. Hellcat/Pro is likely a safer choice with slim profile and capacity.

Gave up my 43 for my 365 and never looked back.. capacity was a major factor. Once Wilson made their grips, it sealed the deal even more!
