In February 2025, I did my third trip to North Carolina for specialized firearms training with Pat McNamara. This time, I focused on my main CCW gun, which is the Springfield Armory 1911 TRP Operator with the full rail. On the prior two trips, it was a combination of rifle and pistol. We did things that are simply not possible in California, and the overall experience was excellent. I posted B-roll/test footage on my YouTube channel before I edit everything. This will give you a good sense of the experience and the reasons for my high rating.

2020 - test footage
Day one from 2025 didn't process correctly because the camera settings were wrong. It's all slow motion with no audio (lol). I have to dig out my 2018 footage when I have a chance. That was some of the best video because it shows me and Eimanne shooting and running around cars.
The overall experience is indisputably five stars. The one criticism is that the location is way out there-- 20 miles outside of Southern Pines on country roads. However, it's worth it. The cost for private training with Mac is substantial, but it's a great value and you know you're learning from someone who is gifted at training people.
