California will for sure try to find away around it, but I don’t see how the Virmontes case wouldn’t apply to sbs’s and sbr’s if they are no longer NFA regulated items. Because these items may essentially be treated no different than a handgun or rifle. Now the 1968 GCA is still in effect, so there will still be 4473s and all the other state laws. Suppressors might be a different situation. (it might take longer but I see it going the same way in the long run) So in a year the 2A landscape in CA might look very different. (I’m not a lawyer, don’t do anything stupid and wait till the dust settles)

In ~50 days there will be oral arguments for Viramontes, but they won’t issue a ruling till the end of the term in June. The real curveball would be if they issue a per curium ruling on Duncan/Gators (they won’t but a man can dream)

unforntunately i could not care less of what you think of me. What discussion-- the same ole same ole topics that have been since the early 2000s? how are those not repeated without contributing? they are the same exact topics that were and still are, being discussed in the 2000s.

Federal law changes won't affect us here. California has it's own state laws prohibiting that stuff. That will not change because the SC has already ruled protecting those state laws. Voters here assure those that passed these laws are rewarded with re-election.

Here we have California, the extra constitutional state. They roll their own way because our federal government permits it.
