Question Trying to improve doubles with irons

For me being target focused and the front/rear irons are slightly blurred when ever the front sight is about to cross over my POA I send the second shot which is the same process for a RDS. IMHO instead of practicing doubles and trying to duplicate it you should concentrate more on firing a single shot and tracking your front sight to see exactly what it's doing. With a proper grip and trigger pull your front sight/dot should rise and fall vertically. You need to figure out how to do this with what grip works best for you build/disabilities. Also having a smooth non jerky trigger pull is also essential. Practice the processes vs trying to hopefully achieve the desired outcome by sending multiple rounds down range.

I recommend dry-fire practice with a double action trigger.

When you can see your sights staying dead steady on target as you pull thru the long trigger, consistently, repeatedly, you'll know you have the grip figured out, then take that to the range.

My friends who start on guns that have great single action or striker fired triggers, still can't keep up.
