So, my take. I think the price new regardless is ridiculous; I think the California Price is absurd.

I just do not see the value of this item equalling the cost, period. I know some fan boy will try to explain why this is “Totally worth it!” But honestly, I have a $500 Beretta M9 that’s over twenty years old that will put rounds where I want, always shot expert with them in the Corps.

But I’m also the same guy that doesn’t see value in high end watches, super cars, luxury cars, mansions, etc. I live a much simpler life and feel I am better for it.

Plus, some yahoo with money to waist will buy this, still wont hit because they do not put in the time and training and so they’ll blame the gun. Generalization on my part.

Or worse still, they’ll buy it, but never shoot it because it is only a conversation piece, status and investment.

But, that is their choice.

The level of overt jealousy on this site is astonishing. If you can't afford something why waste your time posting and pontificatong about it. This type of thinking will quickly get you excluded from the gun community here in California or anywhere. Sure they might make a profit but they are also providing a firearm that civilians would never get the chance to buy while living in Cali. I don't love the Cali mark up at all but to say you want to stand them up or report them. That is a POS move all day. I would never buy or sell to anyone that has this mentality.

If it matters, I held a secondary MOS as a Primary Marksmanship Instructor for Rifles and Pistols in the Marine Corps so I would win that $5 bet.

As for competition, I’ve been disabled for a number of years so running and gunning is out of the picture for me.

So, take that for what’s it’s worth.

There are people on Calguns or California in general who have money to burn. Tech bros for one and the other is rich Chinese people with money from overseas. If there are people who drive Ferraris to UCI then then same crowd can probably spend $10K on a Sand Viper

In the Marine Corps, you have to be able to shoot well before you can even be considered to be able to go to the three week school to learn to teach/coach others on how to shoot properly.

But if your clever comebacks are more important than facts, oh well.

My take on that if you don’t want to pay for mark up theres other way to get them but its more pricey and still gotta pay tax for it.

To think that I thought most gun owners held themselves to some sort of standards/beliefs… Some people just can’t get over the reality of pay to play. Whether you think it’s worth it or not, some guns/brands demand prices. Atlas Gunworks are the same price here as they are in free states. TTI are near the same. Those that don’t know how to get them through outlets such as 2AZone, will pay the premium for the instant satisfaction from the classifieds here.
People also don’t think that LEO should make some cash for helping us get firearms we can’t. I have no issue with it, and have purchased from people whom I am sure were probably LEO. When factoring in the extras I received with those pistols, I basically paid MSRP. Fine by me for something I otherwise would not have been able to get . The last of which was a Staccato CS. After adding up all of the extras included, tax, sin tax, etc. I still paid $100 less.

They are not helping us get firearms, they are flipping guns for profit. The intents are completely different. If they are helping us then the asking price for these guns wouldn't be double what they paid for. This comes from a guy who has only PPT'ed off roster pistols since SSE closed years ago. I know exactly what I'm getting into and what they are getting out of it.

I do agree with you on using what I would pay as a baseline for whether I want to buy something or not though because roster or no roster I'm never getting LEO pricing. If a Staccatco CS is $2500 then I'm OK with paying $3,000 after taxes.

Those don't sell anymore. We can get a Platypus for about $2500 OTD at 2A zone or a JG TWC9 for $3K OTD with an optic.

The 2024 Staccato C's move when get they get below $4K though and that's the only gun I'm willing to sucker up for because it grips just like a single stack 1911.

With no mags, yes it’s a little much. But I paid 4200 for a 24’ CS w/ 6 mags, Trijicon RMRcc, Streamlight TLR-7a, QVO Holster, QVO MSH, and 6 extended baseplates.

If I can get the 24 C Compact for the same deal as you did on the 24 CS I'd be game. That's one game I am willing to pay to win. There isn't an alternative like P or XC either.

The bottom of my pinky rests right on top of the "lip" of the grip so it feels super secure.

I just don't see many 24 C Compacts. Most are full size grips.
