Turner’s Reseda rejects FFL03 & COE for 3 in 30 rule

At the Reseda location, they rejected my paperwork of FFL03 & COE. They cited this paperwork no longer works for the 3 in 30 exemption. Only LEOs are allowed for this exemption. The employee at the register said it was a new rule in CA.

This was the second time they wouldn’t allow me to use my paperwork. I attempt to avoid Turners but at times they have good deals.

Other LGS have not made a fuss about this but since Turners is corporate is this their policy now ? Or will it become statewide for all LGS?

Agreed, that store is hot garbage. My only PPT with them was a terrible experience. I will never do that again.

I’ve talked with the older lady and she knew about the FFL03 and said it would be fine when I picked up my bodyguard earlier this year.

I’ve only gone twice in 5 years and I’ve had no issues at the Reseda Turners. The Turners in San Marcos charges extra for a PPT I know that personally.

I have used mine on 3 occasions recently, last one 2 weeks ago, with no issues.

It's Turners, not surprising. Have you tried telling them you a gangster and need it for your hood? What I been hearing is Turners sold the most that have been used in crimes in CA.

I thought the Reseda Turners falls under that 1 handgun a month city ordinance. Maybe they are getting confused.... ask them to show you the DES screen where the 3 in 30 drop down still has "C&R with COE"

I have purchased more than 1 a month, several times with my FFL03 and COE from the Reseda location as recently as last month. Several sales clerk i talk to, including 2 managers, were well aware of the exemption, and the transactions went through smoothly.

This isn't about more than 1 a month. This is about more than 3 a month.

Sorry about your experience, come in to our store. We are not more than a couple blocks away from Turners in Reseda. We know there is a 3 in 30 day exemption for FFL03 + COE holders. Also, that 1 handgun every 30 day's ordnance doesn't exist anymore because the city can't enforce it from what we were told.

I avoid Turner’s whenever possible. Occasionally, their prices are just too low to ignore.

I just DROSd four firearms with them (two pistols, two rifles) and they accepted my 03+COE.

The only ‘Turner’s-ism’ I encountered: They wanted to see the *original* 03 (“We have to make the copy”). OK, whatever haha!!

This was in Temecula. The employees were great, it’s just the burdensome Turner’s corporate rituals they have to deal with stretch a DROS release into almost one hour, haha!!

I haven’t been to the Turner’s in Reseda in over 30 years. It was the worst back then, glad to see Reseda is consistent, haha!!

I’ve had good luck using my 03/COE at Turners San Marcos and Turners Kearny Mesa.

Just recently too.
