Physically experienced a self discharge of the p320 platform? I don’t believe the hype regarding the P320…. I practically handle and dropped mine and never an issue? Now one thing with mine it is a x5… but they all have the same trigger group… so any body…. All I have heard about it are second hand and 3rd hand stories….

You may not hear from anyone, out of the few threads on the topic, no one has ever mentioned it actually happening to them. I'm sure if it had we would have already heard from them or they would have started their own threading talking about what happened. Everyone gets to decide if 2nd hand stories and news articles warrant concern. I don't have one, but if I did I would also be setting it aside or only using it in a controlled environment at the range.

Yeah I know the mp is, I was going check out the echelon 4.0 before I make my decision. It will likely be the 4.0 tho
 
I like my 320 but also won’t carry it. Range only. I’ve tired to make it dry fire without a round. No UD yet. Mine is only a few years old and wasn’t in the upgrade sieral range. Maybe these UDs are all older or more worn guns?

I thought someone mentioned here before that the manual safety on the P320 prevents the trigger from moving, and does not block the striker in any way. So depending on what is actually causing the uncommanded discharges, it may or may not help.

Great video…. So basically if you have over 4k rounds through then a inspection of the sear, safety locking pin and spring is in order…. To see this wear that he is pointing out…. I personally would inspect it every 1000 rounds just to see how and where the wear is taking place if at all.
 
Interesting interview with Ben Stoeger that includes some p320 comments. p320 stuff is at 1:24 but the whole interview is pretty entertaining.
