Anytime there is more instability in the news (COVID, civil unrest, political violence) the rumor mill abounds with generic FUD like this. It always is wise and prudent to be aware of your surroundings, but this is the modern day text thread version of a Bloody Mary chain letter.

Keep calm, carry on (and or carry) and live your life. Having been in the middle of more civil unrest than I can count in California, you're more likely to get T-boned at an intersection by someone texting and driving than anything else.

Lol… yeah, same tactic adapted to another generation. Human nature is pretty predictable.
 
If you have no accurate info, you’re just being as effective as the nuclear drills children had to go through, which is to say you’re fear mongering and creating extremists. I know it’s by accident and with a good heart, but if you want to do this, alert authorities and give better info, please

Listen to that gut feeling, if something feels "off" go home.

And if you are a praying man, say a prayer for protection of yourself and others.
