Best way is always going private as you will get the most return for what you got. Selling it to a shop will give you 50-60% of what's it worth. I just bought a 10-5 not to long ago and paid about 500. In your buddy case I think 550-650 because of how nice it is. The mossbergs anywhere from 300-500 as they have the wood furniture.Would the best way be to sell these through a shop or private sale?

I think that’s a model 15-2 or 15-3. Adjustable rear sights, 3 screw frame. Fun gun to have.Best way is always going private as you will get the most return for what you got. BIG plus to Mt McCoy in Simi ValleyIf your friend has more than a few items, and doesn’t want the hassle of meeting a bunch of randos for PPTs, then consider the auction route.

Easiest way to sell firearms around. They will either make you a cash offer, or take them on consignment. On consignment, they handle everything to list on Gunbroker (pics, research, listing, payment, shipping, etc). The auctions generally run two weeks and start at $0.01 with no reserve. If there are any off-roster pistols, they can DROS those as a consignment PPT at their location in Simi Valley, so you get the ‘CA premium’ for those, too.
When it’s all through, you get a check for the proceeds. EZPZ. They have national exposure and you’d be surprised what things go for sometimes.
