Question What are causes or reasons of the Single hook to break off AK trigger?

What causes the single hook to break off a single hook trigger on an AK trigger? Ever had this happen?

Been looking online in google search for reasons but only finding results for the the difference of single and double hook triggers; seems like double hook is for if one hook breaks, the other one can still be intact to continue cycling?

Looks like bad castings that suffered metal fatigue and totally unplanned rapid disassembly (TURD). I'm not super familiar with AK's, but anything involving highly controlled explosions (cars, guns) can fail if parts aren't up to snuff.

I have never seen this in person.
Your photo is the only one I have even seen of a broken-off AK trigger hook.
You won the crappy part lottery.
Buy another trigger (of a different brand than your old one) and you will likely not have this problem again in your life.
I can recommend an ALG trigger.

Ayyyyyye!!!!! Lucky winner! Lucky Winner ! However, I don’t feel like a million bucks. That trigger only had about 800 rounds through it.

I bought a Romanian military surplus trigger for now to test if maybe the supposed century arms enhanced one in my set-up was an out of spec trigger or maybe not an actual Romanian military surplus. If that one breaks too then I will change it out to the ALG; been eyeing and thinking about the UL one for awhile. Meridian defense is supposed to be coming out with their own trigger later this year that looks similar to the ALG-UL. Klayco47 did a video on it; seems pretty fast.

What do you think of the LBE g3 triggers; it’s supposed to be like an enhanced tapco g2 trigger?
