I didn't read the bill to see that, but if that's true, that means they could offer a CA model with the performance trigger.
The performance trigger supposedly does not work with switches.
Also, the performance trigger does not have a cruciform trigger bar.

Not disagreeing, but federal courts have attempted to put the kibosh on so-called "judge shopping" in recent years, so the scenario above might even be a stretch.

They may make it for their own use in CA models but not sell it separately.
Part of the reason they don't sell a Gen3 performance trigger now is likely to get people to buy a gen5.
Remember that in most states, you can just buy a Gen5 and that's more appealing to Glock marketing department than people NOT buying more Gen5 guns.

The same sort of thing happenned when Porsche released the 914-6 and it was about as fast as the 911 which was MUCH more expensive.
They had to kill 914-6 to keep selling 911's.
More recently, Ford discontinued the old Ranger in 2011 and replaced it with "Global Ranger" which was so close to an F150 for less money that they would not sell in in the USA until 2019 even though it was being sold in most other countries since 2012.

The "scarcity effect" is a human behavioral bias that raises perception of value, even when there isn't any. This is to be expected whenever something like the "Glock ban" happens. It's as predictable as the seasons.

We in the gun community are notorious for this, but then again the same goes for many women who go into a panic when the Saleslady at Louis Vuitton tells them it's the last purse in stock (they have 2 dozen in the back).

It can happen even when alternatives are abundant... and obvious. It can happen to even obsolete things, like the Glock Gen 3.

It's a knee jerk reaction that won't last. This is also as predictable as the seasons.

It's not clear to me that Judge Benitez is still working. His calendar has been suspiciously empty for a while. He was also reprimanded for some courtroom behavior.

I'm not going crazy over them, but I just bought my first one. Managed to get Turner's Glocktoberfest pricing. The reason is that I want a .357sig pistol, to try out that caliber, and the easiest and cheapest option in a target shooting rig is the Glock 35 with a replacement barrel. If I ended up liking the grip angle and manual of arms, I might buy a few more in the future. Given my previous experience with rented/borrowed Glocks, I will continue hating it even after a thousand rounds, and buy something else.

AFAIK, the Gen3 is already discontinued, and manufacturing has stopped. Whether they are on the roster or not may be immaterial within a few weeks, for sales of new pistols.

I haven't seen an official memo yet. SOME of Gen3 (less popular) were discontinued early this year. Now, Glock has no choice but shut down each and every Gen3 model. They can't manufacture goods, which have no market to sell it on.
