Who got in on the Zermatt Waltz 9 Pre-order?

I went comp so I can get this one later. Figured the middle ground was a waste.
Yah, the barrels aren't fitted so it should be plug and play. I liked the sightblock version a lot and it compared well to the comp (especially when just shooting normal minor PF ammo or just factory loads like S&B 124 FMJ).

I just assumed it would be easier to get a hold of a spare upfront rather than have to compete for spare stock as they start selling the next batch. Plus the whole needing to go back to an FFL for the spare barrel.

I got both barrels. Im talking magwell

I hope this gun just makes uspsa realize that carry optics needs to either be combined with LO or redefined to not allow de facto race guns. It's never been more obvious that the rules are arbitrary than with the waltz 9
My RMR equipped stock glock 17.5 is equal in the eyes of USPSA as a cajunized S2 or a 45+ ounce Waltz9. Just some guns are made more equal :).

Oops. Read that as the comped barrel. Yah, I thought I'd like the competition magwell more than I did. The standard just felt better for me and my grip + the balance was favorable for how I returned the gun and in small part it looks better.

I'm sure I might swap the magwell and grip texture side panels on a use-case basis and if I like the Waltz9 enough I'll grab a second to have a backup.

Back up is g17.6 with dawson magwell and ramjet. Im not rich enough.

Literally can be 59 oz in carry optics it's ridiculous. When I put a cheely stainless on my 2011 that has a cheely xwf frame it was like 52oz lol. But now if you have a striker fired action, the difference is a little bit more magwell? The proof is in the numbers, the classifier scores are almost identical with LO being like .1 more in general. It almost seems fake like they just added .1 to LO to make it different. the pcsl rules make so much more sense with the defensive practical limit of 35oz. They should also just allow magwell of a certain size in carry optics because people literally do carry with magwells and some guns like gen 5 glocks have a built in magwell while an m&p or gen 3 Glock does not

Wow. I cannot believe the Kovert fee. Does that include the sales tax and the 11% excise tax? I was going to order, but got tied up in a meeting, and by the time I got to a computer, they were sold out. I am glad I got tied up. lol Enjoy to those who got an order in.

This one is probably a lot closer to their cost to produce per unit than larger 2011 manufacturers. AFAIK most of their parts are made from billet and largely in house with the exception of springs and the proof rifle barrel they cut and trim to length.

Small operation and almost all CNC work on a new and innovative design so they have to design a lot of their stuff themselves rather than source existing parts.

I’m sure there’s enough margin built in to make it worthwhile though.

this is basically a metal glock meets 2011 and shoots as well as an Atlas despite being striker fired. The Atlas is a good analogue in terms of accuracy, trigger feel, replaceable side panels for customization, etc.

Na, that’s their added cost to facilitate the SSE. They seem to have a monopoly on it right now even though others like Scott were asking about getting in on it.

$1k is a sucker fee, to be honest
It’s hard to swallow, but with how limited supply is and how hard it will be to get one for the next year or two, I doubt many roster exempt people or people with one move into the state. It’s basically the pay to play or early adopter fee. For better or worse. Again though, I don’t foresee it being an issue with making back all the costs if you went to sell here in CA. Plenty of high end shooters and collectors would want to experience it or run it as the new king of a division.

KOVERT SSE: 1000( I think this is excessive)

You're talking about an off roster gun. So either swallow the SSE fee or buy off some 🐚 flipping guns. What are people flipping Atlas' for?
This is my Grail BBQ Retirement Gift to myself. I thought I could make it out of California sooner than I can so here we are. Getting screwed by the State and the LGS. Feels Great. 🫠

I'm not saying don't do it if you love the gun I'm just saying we are getting /violated/

thankfully the trigger has nothing in common with a Glock, it's looks like more of a cross between a 1911 and a luger. It retains a 1911 style disconnector but with a fully cocked striker like a luger.

also cassette trigger. Pick your module and drop in. no smithing. no down time.

Except the part where you can’t shoot it because the trigger broke and trying to fix it voids the warranty. Hopefully they make plenty of triggers or make them high enough quality for this not to be a problem
Pretty sure you cant shoot any gun that has a broken trigger.
