Why are classifieds even offered for free?

If you take a look at Armslist, it used to be a thriving website (as thriving as an 2A site can be) but the second they started changing to a paid service the whole site pretty much collapsed and lost all of its customers/following.

Or just be a smart consumer, wonder how many scammers that would prevent. Putting the scammers on the free users that have never scammed or been scammed is...

Maybe make a sub for the senile and gullible, ftf only.

Or, just tired of sifting through flakes and scammers doing due my diligence and would love to have to deal with less or none.

It's not just for that, your arguing as if we're moving to a paid only model. We're going down from 3 to 2, GAFS allows 1. I don't hear your complaints about them or their hardcore banning

What about reduce spamming, reduce fake listings, reduce overhead (mods and users) from looking at these posts.

I didn't complain to changes. I was rebutting to the comments about making it paid 100% by other members, and those that created this thread.

Eh I agree, I haven’t sold anything and I still threw the site 40 bucks, where else am I going to F- with fellow gun people? Reddit, F- no, calguns, eh, the amount of bots and spam, nah.

And your assumption would be wrong. Two free ads is no issue to me. I just think going to a totally paid model would be a bad move. I buy more than I sell here.

When people upgrade, they remove the DM ads and increase the number of saved searches. That's ultimately the point, I think 2 is enough for most people especially since you can list multiple on one listing.

GAFShub also limits you to one per 24 hr but since our search is significantly better, I think 2 is a good number.

2 is pleanty. As a non-payer I would be happy with 1.... since free. Beggers should not be choosers. As a side note, I am not against paying for a website, I paid for Calguns. I just like to feel sites out for a year + to see how things run before I spend $.

I personally feel there shouldn't be ANY classified ads for free. Support the site, even if it's temporary to sell your stuff.

That will limit the marketplace pool too harshly. It would hurt not help. People will just to calguns or other sites

adpocalypse hit hard I guess. Between FB and IG even with a lot less followers I was able to make between $300-500 a month sometimes not including direct sponsor incentives off social media payouts, then it slowly decreased to like $100-200 a month. Then meta just nuked payouts across the board, now it's barely a rounding error

I'll keep it at two... I would also want to make sure that people have a solid place to go with the head winds coming in case times get tough.

Not reddit like at all. You still sell for free though don't you? LMAO. Nice try. And i never said totally paid model, just for sellers after a "trial" as a compromise. Buyers are free. And it doesn't matter if they're "making money" or not. They're using a platform for a monetary result, for free. Call it whiny, unncessary and horrible all you want, that's your opinion...

Your feedback is 3/4 seller/buyer with 2 active selling classifieds....
