Wife running for Congress - urgently need signatures to get on the ballot

With the redistricting games that were recently played in California, my wife has decided she wants to challenge Mark DeSaulnier for his Congressional District 10 seat. But to get on the ballot, she needs 40 signatures on a nomination form to qualify. She's been told that those signing need to be in the relevant district, but also in the same county where she resides (Alameda). The new District 10 is mostly Contra Costa County, with a very small clipping of Alameda County.

If you live in the following cities, she or I would be happy to come to you for your signature.
• Ashland
• Castro Valley
• Hayward (Partial)
• San Leandro (Partial)
• San Ramon (must be the part in Alameda County)

This is time sensitive, and again, one of us will come to you for the signature. Also, it does not prevent you from voting for someone else in the primary or main election. It just allows her to be on the ballot.

You can find some info about my wife at https://www.facebook.com/DrGriffithsforCongress. Note that she is running as a Republican, and is a HUGE supporter of 2A (she's shot a national championship and multiple state matches with me in IDPA). My only disappointment in her is that she prefers Glocks.

If you are unsure if you are in the revised District 10, you can search your address on this web page. It will show both your old and new Congressional Districts.

You can email me at gryff@aol.com or my wife at drgriffithsforcongress@gmail.com.

Thanks all!

Bump.

If you know a shooter in one of the District 10 cities in Alameda County, we'd appreciate if you could put us in contact with them. Signatures need to be submitted by Monday morning.

Wish'n I could be more help, besides hoping your wife gives 'em hell! Good luck, brother!

Thanks to everyone for the votes of support and who have reached out to us!

BTW, I wasn't kidding about her being pro-shooter. This is her at the IDPA National Championships a few years back (no, she's not the one in the green...).

That's awesome!
I'm not in that district. But I'm sure the community will pull though for you

Update. She got 44 signatures, but the county said 9 were invalid. She found 8 more and submitted them yesterday (2/26 update - all approved...she'll be on the ballot!).

First draft of her campaign page is up. Feel free to hit us with any questions you have. This is all real grassroots at the moment since we don’t have a lot of our own money to throw at the effort. It’s going to be a work in progress for the next little while.

Thanks for all the support so far.

Glad she met the signature requirement.

Not to take away from her congress run but I saw your wife’s qualifications and very impressed. Does she by any chance work with attorneys as a medical expert?

My wife works with a civil attorney in SoCal who sues government agencies and hospitals on behalf of children and families- some of which is based on medical issues.

If so, I know they are always looking for medical experts, especially those with such impressive CV’s.

And I know she’s running for congress, for which I hope she wins. If this is something she does on the side, he may request her services.

Thanks for the thought! I'll let her know.
