Question Winchester safes

I'm going to coin this math formulas for buying a safe:

Take the value of everything you are going to keep in the safe:
  • Cost of all your guns
  • + Ammo
  • + Scopes/etc
  • + Jewelry/watches
  • + 10 motorcycle and car titles
  • + My wedding ring that no longer fits
  • + Irreplaceable wedding pics, etc, etc
Then multiple the cost of all that by 5-8%. That might be the minimum you should spend on a quality safe. Lol Buy once cry once!

Its the 5' tall one that's super wide. The sheet metal door flexes a good bit for sure! I think it was $999 when I bought it, but I got it for $799 because it had a dent on the top. Good enough for non critical stuff to help save it from a fire (hopefully) lol.

Looks like the new model is $1,499 and appears like it's most likely more well made. I see external hinges, mine has internal hinges, but still looks like an all sheet metal exterior.
 
Thanks for the replies, everyone. As far as long gun storage, I’m at 3 long guns now, and I figure I’ll add 3 more at the most, so 20 long gun capacity is plenty.
 
My $.02 - swap out electronic locks with a s&g manual. On sale at Amazon for $100.

Bolt down the safes. Buy fireproof pouches for extra protection.

TL rated safes are the way to go. Find a local safe company that will move it for you. Bunch of CL or FB marketplace. HIgh Noble in Roseville has a bunch. Build cabinets around it or a cabinet face if installing it in the garage so nosy neighbors don’t see it. Have an alarm on your garage and house.
 
I have that Winchester safe from tractor supply. It's in my garage, along with my angle grinder, pry bars, cutting torch... it's going to do about as well as anything costing twice as much.
 
I have the 40 rifle and i live it. The lighting is great door is great . Shelves .... To be desired but otherwise amazing value when on sale.
