I haven't seen a single Glock advertisement on here. Is it only on desktop? I only use my phone to use this forum.

Can someone screenshot one and post it?

It pops up from time to time, it's very intermittent and sporadic... There's only really a handful that will advertise in CA.

The ad needs to change the "Buy Now" box to "Buy This July".
It would give me much more confidence that it's actually going to get here.

Now I hope they put the loaded chamber indicator and writing in the extractor and new piece behind.

And I hope the mag disconnect is in the mag catch like the Staccato for ca.

That would make all of the california requirements be within the small parts and not affect the major components.

Agreed. It didn't dawn on me yesterday when I posted, that staccato could do the mag release style because of the 1911 style straight back trigger design. The glock wouldn't work that way.

One thing people should think about is the engineering + roster timeline. The Gen6 guns Glock released nationally do not have a magazine disconnect or a California-style loaded chamber indicator, so they cannot be submitted to the roster as-is. Glock would have to design a CA-specific variant with those features first.

That means if a July 2026 launch is real, the process likely already started. A manufacturer normally has to design the compliant parts (CLI and mag lock), run lab testing, submit the gun, and then wait for DOJ processing. That whole sequence usually takes months, not weeks.

So if the Dec 18, 2025 post by Route66ShootingSportsPark mentioning July was accurate, then one of two things must be true:

• Glock already designed a CA-compliant Gen6 and submitted it earlier this year
• or the July estimate is optimistic speculation

So my question is:

When would Glock have had to submit a CA Gen6 to realistically hit a July 2026 retail window?

Another angle the community could pursue is actual information gathering. Manufacturer submissions and certification records often exist inside DOJ and testing labs. People have successfully used California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests in the past to learn when firearms were submitted for testing. That type of data would tell us far earlier whether a Gen6 CA variant is actually moving through the system.

So the real analytical question is:

If Glock wants guns on shelves in July 2026, when would the CA-compliant version have had to enter testing?

That timeline alone would tell us whether the rumor is realistic or not. Sorry for being late to the this thread, I'm new here.

I’ve been mostly stuck with Gen 3s, and judging by the Gen 6 specs, I’m genuinely excited with the straight-from-the-factory enhancements.
