I came here checking on the GLOCKS we were supposed to be getting in June/July according to that Route66 mope many months ago. Still nothing. Figures. Gun dealers have been untruthful since guns were invented. I always count/check my fingers after shaking the hand of a gun dealer.

Don't blame the dealer; they're just the messenger. There's another thread that posted the back-and-forth between Glock and DOJ as Glock has tried to get their handguns approved for sale.

Unlikely anything happens but doesn’t make sense to do that. Anyone reading this can call the ATF and report you. Why risk that

Note "shall not include a person who makes occasional sales". That means more than 1, and he sold 2. If he was flipping 10-20 of them then yes its probably illegal, but 2 is not going to meet the threshold as of the law when the law allows multiple sales and 2 is the lowest number that would necessitate an S at the end of sales.

IMPORTANT CALIFORNIA HANDGUN UPDATE





Glock Gen 3 pistols will remain on the California Roster, however Glock is no longer producing them.


What does that mean?

Any Glock Gen 3 pistols currently in dealer inventory remain legal and available for sale

Once existing stock is gone, availability will be limited to what dealers already have


That said — this is NOT the end of options for California.

Yes, you read that right: NEW options are coming to California.

I won a category at a local GSSF match and they issued a $400 "CA Match" award instead of a pistol certificate.

The Glock rep didn't have any updates on plans for CA and mentioned most CA gssf matches were calling it quits.

Match attendance was WAY down as expected, if you can't win a pistol why show up to a match?

I asked one of the glock guys when i was there and he said you get the credit for 2 years.
If they are added back to the roster within the next 2 years that credit will turn in to a certificate. But if you don't use the credit and they are not added, the credit expires.
AND no transfer out of state...

I think not enough people showed up for them to hand out $100 checks for 2nd place

Hopefully we only have to wait two weeks but at this point that's not looking likely

That's what I was thinking.
Even the very few people that shoot GSSF that have only glock spent nearly $1000 just to be able to shoot the match.
It's not that we don't want to buy their product, its that we can't.

Here's hoping!!!! frankly with glock missing the time line and the kimbers still not added I highly doubt it also.

If the Gen 3V or something like that does ever get added, I'll definitely be there to add the 17 to the collection.

GSSF is dead in Ca. Reno too. Just look at the numbers of entries YTY.

What the hell are ya supposed to do with credits? Renew memberships in a dead org? Pay match entry fees for a chance to win more "credits"? RRGC likely might have been the last one for me. Sitting on 2 certs that are useless. Convert em to cash and call it done.

I was at RRGC on Saturday and was very surprised how empty the GSSF match was.

I was amazed how dead it was when I went Sunday afternoon.

The first match I ever shot was a GSSF at yolo 2 years ago and it was so packed it took almost all day to get through the stages.

Agree, my first match was RRGC in 2024, shot in 2025, and just this past weekend.

I shot Sunday mornings at all three matches and 2024 and 2025 you had to wait to get up to the line.

This past weekend, there were more RO's than shooters at most bays...

I redeemed a pistol cert in 2024 for a Glock 34, but by the time I won another one in 2025 the G34 was discontinued, so I held onto the second cert.

I'm sitting on one pistol cert and one "CA Match Award"

Just in time to move onto a 2011 I guess.

That’s a sad story right there. I was semi depressed when I showed up.

I hit the 2011 pipe hard last year but after area 1 circling back around to the 17 after not really shooting it for a year.

I agree, it use to be a great deal with the blue label certificate if you're a fan-boi such as myself.

Now unless you just want a stand and blast match, there's no other incentive.

I am sure Glock is internally feeling pressure to be able to sell pistols again in CA. Longer they can’t the more folks are buying other striker fired pistols increasing the chance the market share of Glocks sold in CA lower moving forward when they get back on the market. Got to hold some Gen 6 Glocks that had come into my local gun store (going to a LEO). They’re nice feeling in the hand for sure.
