I don't think the money the creator makes from YouTube is the "something of value" they're talking about. That's money from YouTube, not the manufacturer. Otherwise any monetized review of anything you borrowed would automatically become branded content. If you get the firearm and you create a video on it and you make money from said video, then you are gaining value from it. Otherwise if you didn’t have it you wouldn’t have made the video.
The company gets a video and name drops. So it’s how it’s interpreted .
Should be it, but if they’re lying, it’s illegal and their account can be terminated permanently."Welcome to the gun review. I am Guntuber123 and today I am reviewing a gun that I bought with my own money. I also bought all the ammo I am using for this review, and everything else you see in this video today. Anyways, onwards to the review."
Problem solved.

They’ve made it harder to classify and get monetized on YouTube, requirements are double now. In August Google came down hard on AI content with many sites losing 60%+ of traffic.and yet they allow AI generated scam BS adds.
We should not speculate on the revenue and profit of YouTube, since Google does not publish anything other than the top-line advertising revenue for it. The actual operating cost breakdown of YouTube is only known to a handful of insiders. What is publicly known is that YouTube was losing money like a fire hose initially, and for a long time struggled to make a profit, even long after Google acquired it.They’ve made it harder to classify and get monetized on YouTube, requirements are double now. It takes a lot of storage and indexing and memory and storage is expensive now.
Guy will just continue pumping out “top 5” videos lolIt is what it is
Maybe now we'll see less (Not So) Honest Outlaw videos being posted lol
If this guy is right then it’s basically the beginning of the end of gun YouTubers. No ads or brand sponsors allowed period in any way on any video containing guns or ammo.
And now they need to do something about those pesky 2A Tubers. LolIf this guy is right then it’s basically the beginning of the end of gun YouTubers. No ads or brand sponsors allowed period in any way on any video containing guns or ammo.
No of course not. That’s literally the economy of influencers and big channels.Wondering if they'll do the same for al the outdoor people who get free gear, car tubers, makeup, toys, etc. So much of the YT space is built upon free products that benefit the brand. Curious what's truly behind this change.
bay area company ran by bay area people that don’t like guns. Not rocket science.Wondering if they'll do the same for al the outdoor people who get free gear, car tubers, makeup, toys, etc. So much of the YT space is built upon free products that benefit the brand.
