Pics 2011/ 1911 DS Photo Thread

Shoot it and see. If it’s having any malfunctions call Atlas. They’re very aware of the issue and more than helpful. PM me if you have any questions.
Got her out today, about 500 rounds without a single malfunction. 115’s, 124’s, and 147’s. Thanks for looking out, and letting me know about the known issues.

I was big into IPSC in the 90's, and at the time most folks were shooting "Limited 10" with 1911's. I started shooting again last year, and my oh my have things changed - most notably 2011 type double stack guns with optics. Every time I shot a match, folks made fun of me for leaving a trail of magazines everywhere I go.

Yesterday one of my friends chewed my ear off for 30 minutes trying to drag me into the 21st century, and he finally wore me down. I acquiesced to buy one of his 2011's, a Tisas Nightstalker. Optics and 9mm are foreign to me, but I figured for $700 I could always sell it if I didn't like it....... although I really do think it's a shame that single stack 1911's in .45ACP have become things of the past for competition.

Just think of the time you're going to save, not having to pick up all those mags off the ground. :ROFLMAO:

Time for a blast from the past, this is a very early Limcat Custom 2011 open gun in .38 Super with a frame mounted Cmore red dot. The trigger is tuned to 1.25 lb with imperceptible take-up and over travel. My brother -in-law has retired from competition due to Parkinson’s and passed this onto me since his kids don’t shoot. Here is my collection 2011s so far.

Picked up a Staccato HD P4 and a Fusion XP Pro. At this price point, I’m very impressed with the Fusion so far (going to shoot them tomorrow). The hard chrome finish looks fantastic, and the trigger breaks nice and clean. The only knock so far is that the take-up is just a little bit gritty, and the figment is super tight. Had to use a hammer to knock out the recoil spring bushing and to get the takedown lever back in.

I preordered the Fusion XP Pro Comp in Chrome. Can't wait to try it out.
