I can barely change my wheels , never done basic stuff like change a chain before still but I do have the tool lol. Sucks racing without a dedicated mechanic or some help once you get to a certain level

Kimber hired a couple engineers from HK and have instituted a rolling recall program where they'll fix all their reliability issues and design errors for free.

Kimber sent a few guys to Bob Marvel classes (per AJP), so I assume they took away a lot of good lessons on how some the best in the business do things. I’m sure that’s trickled down into some of the 2K11 design choices.

Also, I think Richard over at Eleven71 has good things to say about their machining tolerances as it relates specifically to their willingness and ability to provide specs for better plates. Anything is better than the awful CHP stuff.

Having the LCI repainted is a small setback on the grand scheme of things though. Hopefully Kimber will sell you an extractor (unlike Staccato, but I'm happy to be proven wrong) to replace the one that comes with the CA models.
