Unfortunately this doesn't work at least for the popular commercial forwarders. They flag firearms related sellers shipping into CA including eBay sellers.

They don't even need to go t the post office anymore. I recently discovered you can schedule a USPS pick up for free. This worked out wonderfully for me because work was so busy for a while I couldn't trip to the post office during their business hours.

I've been pretty lucky thus far that I can find things on eBay, Tacswap or GAFS. For things I can't find, my FFL is pretty cool about ordering for me for a small fee. This law sucks donkey balls but we just gotta find ways around it for now.
