What? It would take 1 warrant, from 1 judge, at 1 major carrier hub, to make an example out of 1 person. Why would they need to search every truck, warehouse, shipping hub, carrier?

Under what authority could a California court subpoena the records of a business completely outside of its jurisdiction? And even if they did, what could a California court do if an out-of-state business ignored its subpoena? The state’s only hope would be diversity jurisdiction in federal court, but that would require a civil lawsuit with an amount in controversy exceeding $75,000.

No one is talking about ordering with an FFL 03 but you my guy.

I’m talking about John Q Public ordering from an ammunition vendor and having it shipped directly to their residence. There is no need to get those panties in a twist over it. Take a wrap off.

Now go back to what I originally said: “Do you have an FFL03/COE? Have you ever wondered how the ammo you order with a FFL03 gets delivered without any of the delivery people or anyone from local or state law enforcement agencies knowing you are permitted by law to order and receive it? The answer is that they don’t know, and they don’t care.”

Do you see the connection? Ammo gets delivered to residences all the time, all over the state. No one knows whether the recipients can order and receive it legally (in my example with FFL03s) or not, and no one cares. Your FUD notwithstanding, that will continue with all these 9th Circuit ruling shipments, too.

And by the way, it’s not a criminal case. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just affirmed the district court’s holding that the background check requirements are unconstitutional, did not mention anything about a continuation of a stay on that ruling, and there’s been no indication of any sort of appeal so the 9th Circuit’s ruling is final as of now. Where’s the violation of law that you keep alleging?

You missed the point of it is easy for an agency with legal authority to care enough to get a warrant, make their way to a large hub, situated in a large metro area, and pluck a parcel containing ordnance out in which to make an example out of someone in CA with.

Try responding without all the emotion that you have tied into this, and things may become clearer for you.

We are talking about California my guy. We aren’t talking about CADOJ going after out of state vendors. We are talking about in state recipients. Get ahold of yourself.

Reading some of these posts about possibly getting into trouble for ordering ammo online and getting it shipped directly to your home is absolutely ridiculous but then I remember that we live in an anti-2A state with some of the craziest gun laws Something that we never had to worry about when we lived in AZ and OR (although OR is now following CA’s footsteps when it comes to laws on firearms)…..we have a couple of years left here in CA, hopefully things continue to get better for the 2A community Ya’ll be safe as always

You should get out more often, travel the country. You are waaay too emotionally vested in this to functionally participate in more than a 1 way discussion. It reminds me of how the CA State Govt “functions.”

If you would like to witness what actual freedom looks like, cross over into AZ and check out a few gun shops in the PHX Metro Area. CA ain’t that.

Just before the current/recently overturned requirement for FFL involvement and background check came into effect, I was able to score a good sized batch of STS that matched the local price for "el cheapo" stuff. I hope you are able to do as well.
I'm somewhat hopeful that the 9th will see the writing on the wall, and skip the en banc mess. They have to know they would be overturned at SCOTUS if they reversed the panel appeal decision. Roberts has been a real disappointment, but I think the original decision would be upheld. After all, it was sent back to be reviewed in light of Bruen. Common sense seems lost on judges when it comes to 2A though.
