Are you a gun guy or lady ?

I do not actually consider myself a gun guy and here is why. While I love guns and enjoy shooting them It's not really a passion for me the same as cars. I don't care about the trigger pull or sights and other things that most will modify if they don't like the factory setup. When I buy a gun I just enjoy it for what it is. I don't think I have ever owned more than 3 or 4 at anytime. How about some of you ?
As others have mentioned it is subjective. To contest your initial statement, I wouldn't find myself saying, "while I love cars, I don't care about the fart-can exhaust note or the fact that it ideal for the driver to have no input into the vehicle other than accelerate or brake.

I've lead a unique life growing up with custom rifles left on my dining room table from a young age. Awe-inspiring machines but not necessarily amenable to friends being freely able to come to my house to hang after school.

For me, it comes down to a blend of self-reliance/defense for my family and an appreciation for the different mechanical solutions to a problem. I like the nuances of metallurgy, timing, material sciences, resonance, etc. A glimpse of this slice of the universe is extremely humbling. I know just enough to get me in trouble and I like it.

Airplanes, cars, guns, and watches seem to accumulate the same crowds.

My statement was not meant to be contested it was just a simple point I was making about how I see myself when it comes to guns vs one of my other life long hobbies.

No worries - I'm not the best in expressing myself, "contest" was likely not the best word to use. All meant in good faith and playful challenge.

Funny enough one of my dream cars would be an AWD K24 Honda CRX. I stand by my previous statement, I'd do everything in my budget to remove the fart-can note. Plenty of amusing nuances in life to enjoy

It's all good and I'm a boomer lol but I also don't like those obnoxious fartcans and how they sound on any car. A awd K24 CRX would be awesome !
