Funny to hear Wilson Combat and Staccato are low tier, wow

Those all are, but not every 2011 brand can or does play ball with FFL07s. It needs to come from the factory as virgin and not all of them will do that - like staccato won’t do that with their legacy series 70 stuff.Aren’t they all (or almost all) available now via SSE? Atlas, Fusion Pro, Phoenix, Watchtower, Platypus, etc??
My vote is Atlas. I’ve got a Titan RDS in 40 S&W that’s just such a sweet shooter.
They’re more mid tier than low tier, but that bucket kind of got bunched together in my rush to throw out some of the common names. But yes, the world of 2011s is stupid expensive and the definition of diminishing returns. And in a world where the upper mid tier starts at like $6k and top tier stuff is closer to $10k and up, it’s all relative.Funny to hear Wilson Combat and Staccato are low tier, wow
LOVE my platypus. fits my hand like a gloveAt each price point what is the 'best' CA legal 2011? Best overall? That you can go to a store and buy new, or order. Not PPT lol
Very curious about the Kimer 2011, my dad has a 1911 from the 90's from them I think and it seems nice...They’re more mid tier than low tier, but that bucket kind of got bunched together in my rush to throw out some of the common names. If I was going to recommend a 2011 to a first time user who didn’t know if they were going to compete and just wanted a fun range gun and plinker I’d probably say:
Kimber 2k11 when it hits the roster (supposed to be soon) or Race City Defense - various models, staccato’s soon to be released steel full size comped HD model that will also probably hit the roster soon after July 4th, or on the high end the Dark Forge Ported and comped reaper.
keep mags in mind............ 90-150 per mag gets up there quick.Very curious about the Kimer 2011, my dad has a 1911 from the 90's from them I think and it seems nice...
$59.99 ... I have HK and Walther pistols so nothing new lolkeep mags in mind............ 90-150 per mag gets up there quick.
I like my .45 1911 but going forward only 9mmI’m selling an alchemy .45 2011
What about Kimber?Atlas, Dark Forge, RCD, and Infinity. Staccato is not worth the price they're selling to normal consumers. If you can find a new one at the 20% off LEO price then sure. Otherwise it's a waste spending your money on a lesser gun when the ones I listed are better in every way
Does Kimber now have on-roster 2011s? Last I checked it's only 1911sWhat about Kimber?

I’d say for some particular use cases the staccato would be fine. Like the on roster HD stuff is solid for a more duty oriented 2011 so if you were carrying on the job or wanted a carry 2011 those fit the bill fine. You can also probably snag those without paying the excise and sales tax via PPT, but you lose the warranty. And we’re not eligible to buy CPOs, sadly.Atlas, Dark Forge, RCD, and Infinity. I carry a staccato XC appendix everyday. Good belt and holster and you don’t even noticeYeah my 1911 shoots so well so I know the 2011 would be crazy. Heavier for CCW though and different operation
