Because the sales tax and 11% freedom tax is still less than the California off-roster PPT mark up. I would rather kiss Kamela Harris than pay $1000+ for a Glock.
 
I like DA/SA Sigs and Glocks and made a decision over 10 years ago to only purchase those two brands. Helps simplify my life. If you regret selling you USP, that would be a good one to get again. Used market has lots of good deals on pistols if you keep an eye open.

Some do, but ultimately everything is negotiable and the market decides the price. A lot of people like the ease of a quick sale for a good price. In my experience guns in shops almost always cost more than what you can get them for here in the classifieds.

They are BRAND NEW though which is nice if you are and like super clean before getting roughed up by self :)
