Look I’ll leave something for you to think about. There are may laws that pertain to 2a. Many are written, passed, challenged, deemed unconstitutional, and NEVER enforced. They aren’t enforced because the prosecution knows there is zero chance it is upheld in court. So why not repeal them? They do t repeal them because by leaving it “law” most law bidding citizens continue to follow, and it’s better to have people feel they are under the control of unconstitutional laws, than openly remove it. A huge example of this pertains to sensitive locations with carrying, over 650,000 CCW holders in California and there have been zero prosecutions.

So when I mention that you buy ammo for personal use in another state, I’m not encouraging you to break the law, but president in these matters has dictated prosecution rates are near nothing for smaller purchases of personal use ammo, by a person that would of otherwise been legally able to make the same purchase in California. Take that for what it’s worth.

Did you mean "precedent"? If so, you are encouraging people to play the odds of not being caught breaking the law instead of encouraging people to obey the law regardless of the odds of being prosecuted. The only way a democratic republic functions is if people recognize that there are laws they don't like but are still obligated to obey. There are laws you do like but others do not and I am fairly certain it annoys you when people break the laws you approve of.

A democratic republic is a social contract, not sociopathic game of "catch me if you can".

From what I was “told” is that it is agents from California Department of Justice (DOJ) along with the CHP, In conjunction with the ATF. Apparently the ATF is on the Arizona side, in communications with agents and the CHP on the California side. This was direct from a friend of mine who was “involved “. Don’t ask any further questions… Its pretty cut and dry that’s is against the law. Some of the local gun stores in Yuma have become wise and know all about this. From time to time they will inform customers when they see what they think is a sting operation about to go down. I’m sure this isn’t happening every day, but it does happen. Risk it or not, it’s not worth saving a few bucks on ammo, IMHO.

I recall nearly 20 years ago for Gun shows in Reno, CA license plates in the part lot were being noted by law enforcement. Can’t confirm it but wouldn’t surprise me.
