Czs and Glocks vs p320s

take a look at the other two video, one is the Ceres cop approaching her vehicle, maybe her bag grazes the gun? and the other is an officer bending over grabbing a suspect. The latter you can clearly see there is no shirt in the holster. If anything happened it was something brushed the outside of the holster. That's not ok, like I said you should be able to throw your gun at the wall as hard as you can, loaded, and it does not go off. brushing against a holster is not pulling the trigger. If it's really just a matter of "the trigger is too easy to pull" then that in and of itself is a problem and Sig should address it. Plenty of other guns have short travel triggers and don't go off by brushing the holster. Find literally any other reports for other guns like the p320, there aren't any. And as far as testing and reports, I promise you that stuff has happened but Sig has paid people to settle out of court. There were several first hand videos that used to be on youtube that have disappeared. One from a central valley USPSA shooter. Those people got paid by Sig to "forget" about the incidents.

Yeah that one is concerning, I hadn’t seen it before. No doubt this shouldn’t be happening, I’m just skeptical that its an inherent issue with factory guns rather than a combo of people modding them unsafely and a predisposition to accidental trigger pulls due to the short pretravel which by itself might be an issue (plus large number in circulation and social media magnification).

I also tend to think if a plaintiff had a gun that was malfunctioning and they could replicate it, they’d say F- you to sig and go to trial and get a massive judgement. Punitive damages. The fact that hasn’t happened makes me think they have nothing and sig is offering them “go away” money which they’re taking because they know their claim is questionable.

If my gun shot me and I could replicate it, I would tell them to F- off with their 150k offer to shut me up and take them to the F-ing cleaners, people hate big companies (especially gun companies for some) and they would award a nuclear judgement if you had ANY tiny modicum of proof.

I would just say you should be able to mod your gun and not have it go off without pulling the trigger. I mean we really don't know one way ot the other, that's what the deal is though it's guilty until proven innocent because so far we just don't know.

There is this ding dong that modded his glock with a Timney and shot himself in the 🍆, but Timneys are known for doing that because they are adjustable, you can essentially adjust it to the point that it will ND and it did. But for instance a CZ trigger, no amount of messing with the adjustment screws will make it ND because before that happens it will just fail to reset. The adjustment on the timney actually changes the how much the "sear" is holding the striker which makes it inherently dangerous if it's set improperly. I don't actually know enough about p320s to say if thats possible, to adjust it until it's dangerous.

Yeah fair point about being able to mod the gun. I also don’t know enough about the p320 fcu to really be an authority, but someone recently posted a great video of a guy who tested a p320 and a glock showing you could also get the glock to fire by pushing on the side of the slide if you pre-pulled the trigger to be a certain short distance (like 1/8”) from being actuated. Made me think the p320 issue might have to do with the very short pretravel as it’s already sitting pretty close to the edge of releasing the sear so it doesn’t take much (fiddling with the holster etc) to push it over the edge. That would certainly be an inherent design flaw. It’s unfortunate there Is so much chaos and unknowns around all this

yeah the main difference between the two though is the trigger dingus, the Glock wont do that if you aren't literally pushing the trigger dingus. The question is, can the 320 fire from just momentum moving the trigger vs. something needing to phydically push the trigger dingus on other guns. Would just adding the dingus make this whole thing a non-issue? who knows lol

Ah, I’m following your logic now, my bad. So if someone managed to import an Austrian-made G17.6, technically it would be legal to sell brand new to civilians in CA since it’s not banned by name and would fit the very generic on-roster description for a G17.
That's my read on it.
The Gen 3 glocks that are routinely sold are not specifically listed.
They are acceptable to sell because they are not specifically banned.
Gen 3, Gen V and Gen 6 all seem to fit within the exact same setup.
There is no specific SKU listed for Glock 17 so any generation glock 17 that is not generation 1/2/4/5 and is not USA made seems to fit within the roster description.

Here is what CA state is saying about glocks:
No Generation 1 or Generation 2 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
No Generation 4 or Generation 5 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
No Glock handguns made in the USA have been approved as of: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
Under those limitations, Glock could produce pistols in Canada or Mexico and import them into the USA and they would be able to be sold.
They do not say that the glocks have to come from Austria.
They only say that they can not be USA made or generation 1/2/4/5.
It turns out that Glocks are only currently made in Austria and USA but that does not stop glock from producing them somewhere else as well.
