Glock 19 or any other 9mm getting kicked off roster I should look at around 500?

I also believe, when CA bans Glocks, Gen3 will be discontinued right after. California is probably the biggest reason why Glock still has Gen3 in production.

Not only Glocks but all pistols with cruciform trigger bar. So that probably includes the new Shadow Systems that just got on the roster. Not sure what other guns have this style trigger bar.

Ordered the Glock for $540 using a sportsman's gift card with 10% off Father's Day sale and $499 basspro price match. Also got a $20 SW giftcard with Glock purchase.

Glock 17/19 gen4 is the best gen. Takes gen 3, gen4 and gen5 upper slides. Its the perfect middle ground for modularity, it's 1mm shorter all around the grip than gen3, larger mag release, and dual recoil spring can be converted to gen3 with a cheap conversion piece either in gen3 and gen4 if looking for customization for ammo types. Highly Recommend while gen4 before the become unobtanium.
I agree. Having owned (I have lost count) Glocks, my favorite is the 19-Gen4

I was contemplating selling my OD green Glock 19 gen 4 in favor of my serialized Polymer80 PFC9. I think I'll hold on even after the ban since gen4 is being discontinued. I was gonna dremel the trigger guard to stop getting Glock knuckle but ill leave it stock. It makes.me have the proper grip too. The P80 is just way more ergonomic. Took both at the range and recoil feels the same, g19.4 felt a tad softer though.

Congrats, solid choice and welcome to the G19 club!

I've owned mine for years and it's still my go-to gun that I carry 99% of the time.

(Not affiliated nor paid to post this), but check out Johnny Glocks' channel on YT - he has a lot of good information on fine tuning, maintenance and safety for the Glock platform. I'd recommend looking into a few of his videos before (if you decide to) you start dropping mods into the G19; there's TONs of aftermarket parts for the G19 and not all are created equal... Best to learn now before you start sinking more money into it (I wish I did years ago!).

My first firearm was a glock 19. My second firearm was another glock 19 lol.

Nothing wrong with that!

If I had to buy another firearm and it would be my last for the rest of my lifetime; it would probably be another G19 as well...

Funny story. My 9mm was a Taurus 99, wife did not have a 9mm yet and wanted one (equipping for CCW). So, we went to our LGS and she picked up and handled several 9mm in the case. She picked up a G19 and said "this is it". At the time I thought a chunk of coal that had been alongside the railroad tracks for 50 years looked better than any Glock. She bought it, we went to the range, I tried it, dumped the Taurus and bought my own G19. My wife led the way and I'm glad she did.

I installed Tru-Glo sights on both (as well as my G36 I bought later). Superb handguns in every way.
